February 2025 Mission of the Month and Core Essential 2

February's Mission of the Month is the Food Bank of Lincoln. The Food Bank of Lincoln provides food and personal care items to people through 16 counties in Southeast Nebraska who face food insecurity. This month we will be collecting non-perishable food items as well as personal care items. Donations can be brought to the orange donation bins that can be found throughout the school and church! Let's see how many bins we can fill! Here is a listing of the most requested and needed items for donation. 

February's Core Essential is "Uniqueness".

This month we will be focusing on how learning more about those around us teaches us more about ourselves! God created each of us in a unique and special way. He has a plan for each one of our lives. We can teach our children that their value isn't found in conforming to sociatal norms, but instead is found in God and the unique and special way that he made each of us to have a powerful impact on the world. 

This school year we are focusing on being God's CHOSEN people. We are called apart from the world to serve God and to be His hands and feet. We each can celebrate the unique way God calls us to serve. 

As a family we should share with our kids the uniqueness we see each other and praise the special gift and talents God has given us.
